Emergency Food and Shelter provides assistance to families with an emergency that meets the income and program guidelines. Assistance includes utilities (metered or non-metered), food, rent/mortgage, and homeless sheltering payments. Applicants must provide current monthly bills and needs of service.
Emergency Medical Services provides assistance to Assumption Parish residents with their prescription medication costs. Applicants must meet low-income guidelines as established by the Louisiana Department of Labor. Applicants must also provide a valid prescription as well as proof of the need.
The Emergency Shelter program provides assistance to prevent homelessness. Applicants must provide documentation of the need. Services include:
Rent/Mortgage Payments
Utility connections/payments
Transitional housing
Transportation Vouchers
