Assumption Parish Police Jury Public Meeting Notice

Coastal Community Fishery Recovery Program

Wednesday, January 27, 2010 at 4:00 p.m.

The Federal Fishery Recovery Program was established to revitalize Louisiana's commercial fishing industry

impacted by Hurricanes Gustav and Ike.

There will be a public meeting to explain these programs on Wednesday, January 27, 2010 at 4:00 p.m. in the

Assumption Parish Police Jury Meeting Room.

Under this initiative, there are four programs which are designed to help Louisiana commercial fishermen and

wholesale/retail seafood dealers recover expenses from the devastation of both storms. Each program is designed

to stimulate economic revitalization by maintaining employment in the commercial fishing industry and providing

viable resources to commercial fisherman. The programs are:

Gear Technology Program

Commercial Fisherman Grant Loan Program

Coastal Communities Fisheries Recovery Program

Wholesale Dealer Broker Program

Learn more about these programs and how they can benefit your business by attending the program meeting in
