The Department of Housing and Community Development is responsible for the the overall development and implementation of social service, community development, and housing assistance programs for the Parish. In addition, the Department of Housing and Community Development researches, designs, and implements programs that promote community awareness and unity as well as the reduction of poverty throughout Assumption Parish. The Office of Housing and Community Development is also responsible for the research and retention of grants for the Assumption Parish Police Jury.
