Types of Grant Assistance
Community Services Block Grant
The Community Services Block Grant provides assistance with utility, food, medicine, rental payments, water, ramps, tuition, housing, counseling services, school supplies, and non-food items.
Applicants must provide:
· A disconnect notice or a notice of termination
· Valid documentation for the need of services being requested
Weatherization Assistance Program
The Weatherization Assistance Program provides minor home repairs to residents of Assumption Parish. It is used to reduce energy consumption, fuel costs, and improve the level of comfort. WAP also provides information and referrals.
The applicant must:
· Provide a driver's license/ID
· Provide most recent utility bills
