Food Bank Program
The Food Bank Program provides food every three months to eligible applicants. Applicants must meet the program's income guidelines and be a resident of Assumption Parish. Applicants must provide proof of income, date of birth, and social security numbers for everyone in the household at the Office of Housing and Community Development or at the above listed pick-up sites.
Food for Seniors
Food for Seniors provides food every month to qualified applicants who are 60 years old and older. Applicants must provide proof of income and proof of age at the Office of Housing and Community Development or at the food-pick up site.
Community Food and Nutrition
The Community Food and Nutrition program provides educational information concerning preparation and nutrition of food. A food voucher is given to qualified families with young children under the age of 18. To receive assistance, the applicant must contact the Office of Housing and Community Development to schedule an appointment. Applicants are also required to show proof of the minor child or children in the household.
